In Soviet times, a jar of cod liver was cherished for special occasions: most often it became the main ingredient in New Year's salad with rice and boiled eggs. We kept the spirit of that classic, but instead of rice we added pickled cucumbers for spicy.

Recipe for "Cod Liver Salad"
Ingredients for 4-5 servings
cod liver
1 can (230g)
chicken eggs
4 pcs.
salted cucumbers
160 g
onions
120 g
mayonnaise
50 g
Step 1/5
Boil hard-boiled eggs and cut into small cubes.
Step 2/5
Finely chop the onion.
Step 3/5
Peel the salted cucumbers from the skin and seeds and chop finely too.
Step 4/5
Stir through the eggs, onion and cucumbers and season with mayonnaise. Top with cod liver, cut into pieces.
Step 5/5
When serving, the salad can be garnished with chopped greens and cherry tomatoes.
