A soup that won the hearts of pan-Asian food lovers. Fo Bo is a flavorful and rich meat broth with rice noodles, beef, spices and ginger. Serve Pho Bo very hot, seasoned with lime juice, hot peppers and soy sprouts.

Recipe "Pho Bo's Vietnamese Soup"
Ingredients for 3 servings
beef shoulder without bone
450 g
set of bony parts of the calf
600 g
gluten-free rice noodles - 450g

fresh ginger

bean seedlings (mung bean)

carrots
1 pc.
fish sauce
50 ml
water
5 L
cilantro
bunch
green onion
bunch
carnation

anise
1 tsp

Step 1/7
Pour water into a large saucepan, add soup bones. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 1.5 hours, removing the foam.
Step 2/7
Peel the ginger, onion and carrots. Cut the carrots and ginger lengthways. Place the ingredients in a dry, preheated frying pan and cook until charred, about 10 minutes. Add to the broth, salt generously and pour in the water instead of the one that has evaporated.

After 1.5 hours, add the spices: cloves and anise. Pour water. Salt generously, add fish sauce and cook over low heat for another 1.5 hours. Strain the finished broth.

Cut the meat into thin slices. Pour part of the finished broth into a saucepan, bring to a boil and boil the meat until half cooked. It will come in hot Fo Bo.

Rinse the noodles. Cook in boiling water for about 6 minutes, then drain and rinse.

Put chopped onions, cilantro, green onion feathers, a piece of ginger in a soup bowl.
Step 7/7
Pour over the hot stock, add 150g noodles and 150g meat to each portion. Additionally, top with the bean sprouts.
