Recipe "Cherry pie on sand dough"
Ingredients for 4-5 servings
pitted cherry
300g
orange (juice only)
1 pc.
corn starch
1 tbsp. spoon
sugar
3 tbsp. spoons
shortbread dough
400 g
butter
20 g
mint (optional)
for decorating
Step 1/6
Defrost the pastry and cherries. If using fresh berries, remove all bones.
Step 2/6
Roll the dough into the layer, leave a small piece for decor. Spread the main part over a butter-greased tin, prick with a fork and place in an oven preheated to 180C for 15 minutes.
Step 3/6
Mix the cherries together with the juice with sugar and starch.
Step 4/6
Add the orange juice, place on the heat, bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring.
Step 5/6
From the remaining piece of dough, cut out the decorations for the pie - leaves, berries or any other figures.
Step 6/6
Pour the cherry filling into the hot underbase, distribute over the dough, put the decoration figures on top. Bake for about 15 minutes more, until the dough is slightly browned. The cake can be eaten hot, but it is tastier than cooled.
