A new version of duck in apples, only duck is not baked whole here, but stewed with lingonberries and raisins, and apples and potatoes are turned into tender puree. You can prepare this dish only from duck legs, or you can cut a whole duck, then the remaining seeds will be enough for a delicious soup .

Ingredients for 6-8 servings

Cut the duck - separate the legs, wings, remove the meat from the breast and back, and leave the frame and the last phalanges of the wings for the broth. Place the meat in a dry frying pan, skin side down, and cook over a low heat when the fat has melted, add heat, fry the pieces until ruddy and place on a plate.

Cut the onion into half rings, fry until transparent in the remaining fat from the duck, return the meat to the pan, add lingonberries, rinse cranberries and raisins, salt, pour in 100 ml of water, cover the pan and cook for about an hour.

Wash the potatoes and apples and bake in the oven until tender (can be steamed).

Let the potatoes and apples cool, peel and mash with a pusher, you can add a little liquid from the pan with the duck, salt to taste.

Serve the finished duck with mashed potatoes and a teaspoon of crushed lingonberries.
