Rinse the spelt thoroughly, cut the onions into half rings, grind the ginger and garlic.

In the same pan, fry the onions until golden brown, add the ginger, garlic, spelt and chopped apple. Stir, pour in 200ml boiling water, put the spuds in the pan, cover and simmer over a low heat until cooked through. Bon appetit!
