Recipe "Candied carrots"
Ingredients for 2 servings
carrots
300g
sugar
500g + for dusting (optional)
water or orange juice
50 ml
carnation

Step 1/8
Peel and cut the carrots into strips.

Put the sugar in a saucepan.
Step 3/8
Pour in water or orange juice.
Step 4/8
Add the cloves.
Step 5/8
Heat everything together until the sugar dissolves completely for 5 minutes.

Add the chopped carrots, bring to the boil and leave for 30 minutes.
Step 7/8
Bring to a boil again and cook for 1 minute. Leave for 1 hour. Repeat 3 times.
Step 8/8
Remove the carrot slices from the syrup, arrange on the parchment and leave to dry at room temperature. Sprinkle the candied fruits with sugar, if desired. The remaining syrup can be used to prepare the next portion of candied carrots.
