Tokpokki rice dumplings (tokpokki, tokpoki) are one of the most popular dishes of Korean street food. In the acclaimed series Squid Game, the protagonist's daughter calls tokpokki her favorite food. There are many variations of tokpokki: they can be served with spicy broth, cream sauce, cheese, vegetables or seafood. We made a savory version of this dish with kimchi, bacon and boiled egg.

Mix rice flour with salt and gradually add boiling water until the dough is dense and stops sticking to your hands.

Form a ball of dough and let it rest under a towel for 30 minutes. Then roll thin sausages out of it and cut them into small sticks about 5-6 cm.

Fill a 3L pot with water, place on the hob. Bring water to a boil and put tokpokki in it.

Turn down the heat and cook the tokpokki for 15 minutes. After this time, discard the products in a colander and rinse with cold water. To prevent tocpocci from sticking together, you can add a little sesame oil to them.

Cut the onions into half rings and the bacon into strips.

Fry the bacon until fat is released, then place on a paper towel and send the onions to fry in the same pan until golden brown.
