Recipe "Cheese balls with bell pepper"
Ingredients for 2-4 servings
Gouda or Edam cheese

Grate the cheese on a fine grater or pass through a meat grinder. Grind the pepper with a blender into porridge, squeeze the released juice.

Prepare three small bowls: put flour in the first, break eggs in the second and stir with a fork, put breadcrumbs in the third.

Mix the cheese and pepper.

Make 8 balls from the resulting mass.

Dip each in turn in flour, egg and breading.

Pour the vegetable oil into a small saucepan and heat over maximum heat. For deep fat, the temperature of the oil is important: if it is insufficient, then the balls will absorb a lot of oil, and the cheese will flow out; if overheated, the oil will begin to smoke and cook on it will be harmful. To check the temperature, throw a small piece of bread into the oil: if it immediately pops up and begins to actively fry, then the temperature is suitable.

Fry the balls in oil (it should actively boil) until light brown, remove with a slotted spoon on a paper towel.

Make a sauce of sour cream and grated cucumber, adding chopped dill, salt and garlic as desired.

Serve the balls hot with the sauce.
