Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern street food: balls of chopped legumes with the addition of spices and herbs, deep-fried. Hearty, spicy, protein-rich falafel is a great substitute for meat in this shawarma. Otherwise, this is everyone's favorite classic: thin pita bread, juicy vegetables and savory sauce.
