This stollen can be both aged before serving for 2 weeks and eaten immediately after cooling down. It will be delicious in both cases.

 By the way: anise, cardamom and cloves can be replaced with 1 tbsp. spoon of a mixture of spices for tea and coffee

Recipe "Christmas stollen"

Ingredients for 6-8 servings

Wheat flour/s
350 g
Butter 82.5%, 200 g
1 pack
Chicken egg S1
3 pcs.
Coconut sugar
200 g
Sugar powder
2 tbsp. spoons
Candied orange (100g)
1 pc.
Pitted dried cherry (100 g)
1 pc.
Dried blueberries (100 g)
1 pc.
Dried melon, 50 g
1 pc.
Anise
2 pcs.
Cardamom
4 pcs.
Carnation
6 pcs.
Strong alcohol (rum or other to taste)

Cut candied orange and dried melon to the size of the remaining dried berries, soak with cherries and blueberries in strong alcohol for a day. If there is no time, put the berries in a pan or saucepan and add alcohol, slowly evaporate until the berries are soaked (about 10 minutes). Alcohol can be replaced with juice or strong tea, for example, Black "New Year's" tea with spices is perfect. Chop the spices (whole) in a mortar or take the finished ground ones and add to the dried fruits. Leave to cool.

While the dried fruits are soaking, make the dough. Beat the sugar and butter with a mixer, then add the eggs and continue to beat until smooth. Add the cooled dried fruits, flour and knead a thick dough.

Transfer the dough to parchment, roll into an oval.

Rinse a little in the middle and fold one half of the dough onto the other, as if closing a book. Bake in an oven preheated to 170C for 1.5 hours. Check readiness with a toothpick.

Leave the stollen to cool and sprinkle generously with icing sugar. Wrap tightly in parchment and store in a dark place. Every week it can be additionally saturated with strong alcohol.
