100 g
milk
900 ml
brown sugar

Rinse the rice, cover with milk, add sugar and vanilla pod (you can replace it with natural vanilla extract or vanilla sugar, in which case you don't need to add regular sugar), bring to a boil and cook over low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cool the finished porridge to room temperature, mash with a fork. Cut the cherries into halves, remove the seeds.
