First you need to cook the broth. Pour 3-4 liters of water into the chicken, depending on the weight, put one onion, some salt, bay leaf and cook over a low heat until tender. The yellow chicken will be ready in two hours, but the soup needs to be cooked for three to four hours, but this broth will also turn out to be more rich and fragrant.

Remove the chicken from the broth, strain the broth itself if necessary, discard the onion.

Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes, put in the broth along with chickpeas and cook over medium heat, preventing them from boiling violently.
