Step 1/8
Peel and dice the onion. Finely chop the garlic. Peel carrots and beets and grate on a coarse grater.

Pour the oil into the pan. Spoon over the onions, garlic and carrots. Add the tomato paste, stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes.

Put the grated beets, salt to taste. Add a pinch of black pepper, bay leaf, lemon juice and sugar (you can change their amount by balancing to your liking). Cook for about 5 minutes.

Put a can of beans with the liquid to the vegetables. Stir and simmer everything together.

At this time, peel and dice the potatoes.

Add the potatoes to the pan. Pour 2-2.5 liters of cold water, bringing to the desired density.
