Spelt is a type of wheat, a very useful cereal, which many undeservedly rarely add to the diet. We offer a recipe for a simple side dish, which is best cooked in a slow cooker - this is how the cereal is well strained, as if in a Russian oven.

Recipe "Spelled with bacon in a slow cooker "
Ingredients for 4 servings
crushed semolina
200 g
onions
1 pc.
carrots
1 pc.
bacon
3 strips or to taste
curry spice mix
½ tsp
butter
50 g
water
400-500 ml
Step 1/6
Peel the onion and cut into medium cubes. Peel and grate carrots on a coarse grater.
Step 2/6
Put butter, chopped onions, grated carrots in a multicooker bowl. Pour in the curry spices, salt. Select the program "Fry" or "Fry" and set the cooking time to 15 minutes. Cook with the lid open, stirring occasionally if needed.
Step 3/6
At the end of the program, pour a dry spelt into a bowl with onions and carrots.
Step 4/6
Pour 400 ml of water (if the carrots are very fried and dried, then 500 ml of water). Select the "Porridge" program and set the cooking time to 25 minutes. Cook with the lid closed until the end of the program.
Step 5/6
Finely chop the bacon.
Step 6/6
Fry the bacon in a dry pan for 10-15 minutes or longer until the fat has melted out. Place on a plate covered with a paper towel to absorb excess fat. Sprinkle the cooked spelt with the roasted bacon and serve. Alternatively, you can immediately fry bacon in a slow cooker along with onions and carrots, and then add spelt and cook according to the recipe.
