Recipe "Phali from beets in Georgian"
Ingredients for 4 servings
Boiled beets
500 g
Fresh frozen spinach
300g
Walnuts
150 g
Onions (small)
1 pc.
Garlic
3 cloves
Fresh cilantro
a few twigs
Fresh pomegranate
for filing
Apple vinegar
1 tsp
Vegetable oil
2 tbsp. spoons
Khmeli suneli
1 tsp
Salt
1 tsp
Step 1/4
In a blender, punch nuts, peeled garlic and onions, vinegar, salt and hops-suneli into crumbs.
Step 2/4
Defrosted spinach (enough for 30 minutes at room temperature) carefully squeeze out excess moisture, put in a bowl and add half of the nut mixture, mix. Grate the beets, put in another bowl and combine with the remaining half of the nuts, mix. Taste both mixtures, add more salt or vinegar if necessary.
Step 3/4
Add 1 tbsp. tablespoon of vegetable oil. You can choose any oil you like - olive, sunflower, or maybe even avocado oil. Make neat "cutlets" in two colors and put in the refrigerator for half an hour or an hour.
Step 4/4
Serve garnished with cilantro and pomegranate seeds.
