Surely you remember those crunchy, generously nutty rings on the school canteen menu? And if not, then it's time to try them! This is exactly the case when you say to yourself: well, that's it, now it's definitely the last, but the hand is reaching for a new ring.

Recipe "Sand Ring"
Ingredients for 15-20 portions
flour
515g + another 40g per day
sugar
205g
butter
310g
egg melange
72g (2 eggs)
soda
1 g
vinegar essence
2 g
salt
2 g
roasted peanuts shelled
100 g
egg for greasing
25 g
vanilla sugar
10 g
Step 1/9
Beat butter at room temperature with ordinary and vanilla sugar and salt until white fluffy.
Step 2/9
For the melange, beat the eggs with a fork or whisk. Measure the required amount, leave the rest for lubrication.
Step 3/9
Add the melange to the oil mixture, continuing to whisk.
Step 4/9
Extinguish the soda with vinegar and add to the dough.
Step 5/9
Add flour and knead the dough. Do not overdo it, otherwise it will turn out to be tight and inelastic.
Step 6/9
Wrap the dough in a film and put in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Step 7/9
Roll out 5-6mm thick dough on parchment and cut rings out of it.
Step 8/9
Brush the biscuits with egg and sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
Step 9/9
Bake the rings for 10-12 minutes in an oven preheated to 200C. Avoid heavy browning.
