Potato waffle can easily become both a side dish and a snack, replacing the usual croutons or pancakes. It can be supplemented with any ingredients to taste - in this recipe we offer a solid version with bacon and sour cream sauce.

Recipe "Potato waffles with bacon and sour cream sauce"
Ingredients for 4 servings
large potatoes
5 pcs.
wheat flour
80 g
fried onion flakes
20 g
egg
1 pc.
baking powder
1 g
table salt
5 g
dill fresh or dry
4 g + the same for the sauce
sour cream 20-25 %
1 pack (250 g)
onion green
a pair of feathers
dried ground chilli
to taste
raw smoked bacon
1 pack (150 g)
sunflower oil for lubrication
1 tbsp. l.
Step 1/7
Boil the potatoes until tender and mash with a pusher.
Step 2/7
Add baking powder, flour, salt, fried onions and dill to the resulting puree.
Step 3/7
Beat the egg until fluffy and add to the dough as well.
Step 4/7
Preheat the waffle iron and grease with oil. Bake the waffles for about 6 minutes.
Step 5/7
For the sauce, mix sour cream, chili and finely chopped green onions and dill. If desired, you can add a crushed garlic clove.
Step 6/7
Fry the bacon until golden brown.
Step 7/7
Serve the finished waffles with the sour cream sauce, bacon and any herbs you wish.
