Recipe "Turkey with turnips and apples in cream sauce"
Ingredients for 2 servings
turkey azu
1 pack
small turnips
2 pcs.
1-2 apples (Antonovka)
leek (white part) or white onion
cream 33%
1 bottle
butter
for frying
salt
pepper
Step 1/4
Peel the turnips and cut into 3-4 mm thick slices, cut the leeks into rounds. If the turnip seems too tart, pour boiling water over the slices, leave for 2-3 minutes, then drain.
Step 2/4
In a heavy-based pan or duck bowl, fry the turkey in the butter until ruddy, then add the leeks and stir, fry for a further 2 minutes.
Step 3/4
Add the turnips to the pan, salt, pour in half a cup of water, reduce the heat, simmer under the lid for about half an hour.
Step 4/4
Cut the apples into wedges, add to the turkey, stir and cook for a further 15 minutes over medium heat, then pour in the cream, stir and turn off the heat. Let the finished dish brew for 10-15 minutes and serve!
