Recipe "Gingerbread"
Ingredients for 10 servings
wheat flour, v/s

butter
100 g
icing sugar
100 g
maple syrup
170 g
egg

soda

ground nutmeg

ground cardamom
0.5 tsp
ground cinnamon

ground ginger
1 tsp
candied ginger

For glaze:
egg (protein only)

Step 1/11
Remove the butter from the fridge about 20 minutes before cooking to soften.
Step 2/11
Pour icing sugar into the bowl of the mixer, put the softened butter.
Step 3/11
Pour over the maple syrup and add the egg. Pour salt, soda, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg.

Add the wheat flour. Knead the dough. If it is liquid, add about 20 g of flour.

Finely chop the candied ginger and add to the dough. Remove the dough from the bowl of the mixer, wrap it with your hands, wrap it in cling film and leave to rest for 20 minutes. And then put in the cold for 1 hour.

Roll into approximately 1 cm thick formation.

Cut the gingerbread into the desired shape. Collect the remaining dough, roll back into the formation and cut out the gingerbread. And so until you use up all the dough.

Cover the baking sheet with parchment, put the gingerbread on it.

Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes at 190 ℃. Remove the gingerbread from the oven and leave to cool.

Make the icing. Beat the egg white lightly with a mixer. Add the icing sugar and whisk again. Add a little lime juice to taste and stir until combined.

Decorate the cooled gingerbread with icing.
