Tempura Scallops Recipe
Ingredients for 4 servings
combs
300g
corn starch
2 tbsp. spoons
baking powder
1 tsp
wheat flour
1 tbsp. spoon
salt
pinch
carbonated mineral water
0.5 cup
oil
for deep-frying
Step 1/7
Defrost the scallops. Remove the "legs," if any.
Step 2/7
Combine the cornstarch, baking powder, flour and salt in a bowl.
Step 3/7
Add half a cup of sparkling water and mix everything until smooth. The dough should be the consistency of thick sour cream.

Pour the oil into a saucepan and heat well.
Step 5/7
Dip the scallops in turn in batter and dip in the warmed oil. If desired, you can put 2 pieces on bamboo sticks, like "skewers."

Cook for about 5 minutes. Place on paper towels to remove excess fat.
Step 7/7
Serve with hot sauce.
