Not fast, by no means dietary, but very tasty dish! The meat in the pot languishes for a long time, becomes the softest, delicious gravy is mixed with mashed potatoes, and a mouth-watering crust forms on top - yummy! You can cook in a cast-iron or clay pot or in a duck.

Recipe "Beef in a pot with mashed potatoes"
Ingredients for 2 servings
beef to stew
500 g
vegetable broth
250 ml
onions
2 pcs.
flour
2 tbsp. spoons
hot pepper
allspice
a few peas
salt
potatoes
1 kg
butter
50-70g
milk
100-150 ml
salt
Step 1/5
Peel and finely chop the onions (leave half of one onion for now), fry in vegetable oil.
Step 2/5
Cut the meat into small pieces and roll in flour, shake off the excess, fry the meat in melted butter in small portions until a golden crust forms.
Step 3/5
Mix the meat with onions, add chopped hot peppers (to taste) and allspice peas and put in a pot.
Step 4/5
Pour in the broth, cover with a lid and simmer in an oven preheated to 130 C for one and a half to two hours. The temperature and time are approximate, as the ovens and pots are all different. The broth should only blur slightly, and the meat should become completely soft at the end.
Step 5/5
Peel and boil the potatoes, cook the puree with a pusher. Cut the remaining half of the onion into half rings and fry until golden. Put the puree in a pot of meat, arrange the toasted onions on top and pour over the melted butter. Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 180C.
