Koreans love fried chicken and boast a huge variety of recipes for its preparation. Dakkanjeon are pieces of crispy chicken fillet in a spicy-sweet sauce. The dish can be served with rice, tokpokki dumplings or favorite noodles.

Ingredients for 4 servings
chicken thigh fillet

corn starch

fresh garlic

fresh ginger

rice vinegar

soy sauce

apple cider vinegar
15 ml

fresh ginger

Cut the chicken fillet into cubes, ginger into thin strips, and finely chop the garlic.
Step 2/7
Mix chicken pieces with milk, chopped garlic and ginger, add rice vinegar and salt. Leave to marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Roll chicken pieces in cornstarch.

Fry the chicken in plenty of cooking oil until tender.

For the sauce, mix soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, gochudian, honey, sesame oil, sugar, add garlic and ginger, starch, and a little pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens, stirring constantly.

Mix the fried chicken pieces with the finished sauce.

Garnish the dish with chopped peanuts. Optionally, you can also add cilantro leaves and sesame seeds.
