These airy steam buns originally from China conquered the whole world! Our recipe will make it easy to make real bao with a juicy meat filling. Serve them straight from the steamer while the buns are warm and soft.

Recipe for "Turkey Bao"
Ingredients for 5 servings
For the test:
wheat flour, v/s
250 g
warm water
160 ml
baking powder
½ tsp
yeast dry
1 tsp
sugar
15 g
salt
½ tsp
vegetable oil
2 tbsp. l.
For the filling:
turkey breast fillet
300g
salt
to taste
sesame oil
20 ml
ground paprika
pinch
ground black pepper
to taste
ground coriander
1/4 tsp
garlic dry
pinch
Korean carrots
30 g
tomatoes
1 pc.
cucumber fresh
1 pc.
salad frillis
50 g
srimayo sauce
80 ml
vegetable oil for frying

Step 1/10
Mix flour, sugar, salt, add warm water and knead the dough.
Step 2/10
Cover it with cling film or towel and leave for 1.5-2 hours in a warm place.
Step 3/10
Roll 80 g balls from the dough, cover with a film or towel and leave for 8-10 minutes for proofing.
Step 4/10
Roll the balls into cakes, grease them with oil and fold in half.

Put the buns to steam in a slow cooker. To prevent them from sticking, use parchment.

Cut the turkey into thin strips, marinate in spices and sesame oil.

Fry the meat over a high heat for 4-6 minutes.

Cut tomatoes and cucumbers into thin circles, tear the salad into large pieces.

Brush the finished buns inside with srimayo sauce.

Place the lettuce leaves, roasted turkey and the rest of the ingredients on the buns.
