After World War II, Indonesians brought robusta coffee trees from Africa, not afraid of this disease.
At the same time, arabica coffee trees were again planted on old plantations, originally founded by the Dutch.

Today, coffee is produced throughout the Indonesian archipelago.

Indonesia harvests about 430 thousand tons annually, ranking third in the world after Brazil and Colombia. But only 10% of the total volume collected is arabica.
